Here's the deal, if you're on a restrictive budget, this isn't your spot. Now, if you're on a budget where you still allow yourself to enjoy high quality treats and pay a little extra, this is your spot. As soon as you walk in you can feel the simplicity of the space. Once you get to where the goodies are, you are slightly mind blown by the options and how seeing just how exquisite the baked goods are. The staff is always so pleasant and patient. Patience is huge with a case that holds so many options. The quality is superb. I've been here a handful of times. Yesterday I tried the lemon meringue, and the pineapple upside down cake. Not the biggest fan of the pineapple upside down but obsessed with the lemon meringue. Tip: Do not sleep on their cruffins, they switch out the flavors and they are incredible!

This little gem gets better & better every time we visit The customer service is quick and so friendly! The ambiance is so cozy and the food is melt in your mouth addictive. My favorite is anything lemon that they make or ask them to warm up a cinnamon roll for you! They also have sandwiches for the lunch crowd!

This place is great. Artisan pastries . These are all unique and well made. It does get very busy. If you are in a rush probably not the spot. If you have time it's worth the wait. If you want something quick, go to starbucks. where they will have premade microwaveable food. They do not have an espresso machine most likely because starbucks is next door. In response to the negative reviews from Steve B and whoever else I read. Steve B sounds like he is not from Visalia by expression of elitism towards valley culture and claims to have refined taste of SoCal and the Bay area. I lived in both of those areas and we seemed to have different experiences. Millions of people living in densely populated areas with saturated market s that do not rely on customer service or quality products because the city population will always yield revenue. And to those who are upset about service. I worked in customer service for over a decade. The worst thing is getting a rush of customers when you're the only person at the counter and people expect to be treated like they are the Duke of France who just entered the royal court. It's a humbling place because you have to wait in a line just like every other person. They do not offer membership cards, special deals. or special orders. They make a good product that isn't anywhere else in Visalia. Obviously this place is always busy so it must be good.

I stumbled upon this place and boy am I soooooooo happy that I did. What a gorgeous array of pastries and bread. So wonderful and yummy. I brought some home for my husband and he was so happy! Great service, great vibe. More of a walk in and order type of place than sit down. Will be dreaming of the next time I get to go back!

Their pastries and sourdough are killer but the sandwiches were a bit tough. Noticeably upon arriving at noon, they were already sold out of 1/3 of their display items and they ran out of prosciutto. The larger baked goods such as their loafs were placed in the back and the pricing wasn't very apparent on some items. There was limited interaction with the staff but it was friendly enough. *Sourdough Loaf: pleasant yeasty crust with fluffy interior. I ate most of the loaf with salted butter and it was the perfect combination. My favorite item in general from this bakery. *Egg Salad Sandwich: hard pass. The baguette was incredibly tough and rough on the mouth. The egg salad spread was applied so thinly, it was comical compared to the looming bread. The red onion was the prominent flavor and there needed to be at least 3 times the amount of egg for it to be balanced. *Lemon Poppy Muffin: moist, sweet and fragrant. The icing wasn't too sweet and went well with the citrusy pastry. Although it looked plain, it had to be the brightest tasting muffin I've ever had. *Tokyo Toast: strangely wasn't labeled but it was described as a Japanese milk bread toasted with miso honey butter. There was a crisp caramelized exterior with a chewy sweet center. I was expecting more salty notes from the miso but it leaned heavier towards the honey. Tasty but I wouldn't consume more than one log. In the future, I'll stick to their display items and sourdough. The pricing is a bit higher than other bakeries but quality can be tasted.

Our 1st time here! 5 stars for products of QUALITY-but forewarned by previous Yelpers, of 'iffy' customer service depending on who waits on you. . . We ordered a-LOT. After all, we drove from Clovis to try it! I had their toasted garlic cheddar bagel, best one I have ever had. The savory bacon cheddar jalapeño biscuit is not to be missed. I'm telling you now, ONE won't be enough, order TWO! The absolute STAR of the order, goes to the LEMON MERINGUE DANISH (kazoo's blast)! My past experience with a 'danish' has been a dry, bready, 'meh' thing, so I always kind-of eye them with suspicion. . . But THIS! Perfection. VERY thin layers of buttered crispiness, meringue that tastes like a light marshmallow fluff, with a perfectly sweetened lemon custard. I would drive all the way from Clovis JUST for THIS! YOU NEVER HAD ANYTHING LIKE IT IN YOUR LIFE! SCOUTS PROMISE! In fact, ANY of THEIR danishes would be 'delectable' because of the amazing pastry layers of crispiness! As you bite into it, layers fall off the bottom in sheer flaky planes . . . FORGET THE DIET! Eat one before you die! I ordered the pistachio latte despite being warned... Yep, it was too bitter to finish. Do yourself a favor; as you exit take a left, and look around the corner on Court Street to Mission Coffee and get your coffee there. I wish I did. Now, 'Truth in Yelping'. . . Unfortunately, we ALSO experienced poor customer service as others have stated. It was, 'Le Flop'. No smile, just blank, peculiarly negative, unfriendliness. It was downright STRANGE. You could cut it with a knife. . . It wouldn't stop me from coming back here though. The product IS outstanding and you can't find it anywhere else. And who knows? You may be one of the lucky ones that get waited on by somebody else.

We were staying in Visalia while visiting Sequoia and Kings Canyon, and bread savage was a favorite local business of ours!! The pastries are genuinely great with character - The cheddar biscuit and orange cinnamon roll were favorites of mine! The biscuit was perfectly cooked to be crispy on the outside but moist on the inside, and the cinnamon roll flavors were remarkable. Matcha and chai lattes were quite sweet even with half the flavor syrups as standard, but still good considering!

Bread Savage is an absolute must try in Visalia. They are on the pricier side, but you are paying for some quality pastries! I've been a handful of times, and would recommend going early (especially on weekends) so they don't sell out of anything. Their jalapeño bacon biscuit is one of the tastiest savory pastries I have ever had, but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu! The only thing I would suggest avoiding is their coffee drinks. I've tried a few different ones and they just haven't been worth the price to me. Staff is always amazingly kind and attentive. Be patient; they work hard!! A few tables for sitting, chatting, studying, reading, etc. It gives living room vibes. All in all: WONDERFUL place in downtown Visalia!
